This past Wednesday I had surgery to fix some endometriosis spots and have been taking it easy since.
Bob has been pulling all the weight to ensure I have a smooth recovery.
This morning however I could rest no more so I made some wholewheat pancakes with strawberries, bananas, and flax.
They were super tasty!
I am bummed to miss Zumba tomorrow night but am glad to have the surgery behind me.
Upwards and onwards!

Right as Rain
This morning I awoke to pouring rain… Which no matter how acclimatized I think I am still can over power me into a little funk.
The lucky gal that I am had no idea what to have for breakfast…
Luckily Bob had been preparing for me to awake and had an egg melt with hashbrowns, fresh fruit and yogurt with yummy local coffee ready!!! That guy always surprises me!!!
Breakfast was able to raise my mood and Bob and I ventured into the thick rain to walk the pups!
Supper is Greek salad!! Yum! A very good food mood weekend!

Winter Wonderland
Improv dates are so nice! Bob and I have been taking advantage of our sea wall this Winter and having plenty of evenings walking the dogs, chatting and keeping warm with coffee.
It sure helps to dress warm and reminds me how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place that doesn’t have to work to hard to make us see it.
What is beautiful where you are?

Rocky Road
Hey all, with it being so close to Christmas I thought I should engage in making an old family stand by.
I am so used to watching my aunt make these treats that even though we didn’t make them together this year I still felt her presence in my kitchen.
Rocky Road is not for those watching holiday calories, just thought I would warn you!
Take half a pound of butter and melt it on low heat, once melted add 2 bags of chocolate chips (two flavours like milk chocolate and peanut butter), melt these about 90% of the way and remove from element. Add one full bag of marshmallows, they can be coloured or white.
Mix together and spread in a greased or wax paper lined lasagna pan.
Yum!

The dogs are settling into a nice friendship and are sure enjoying each other!
Bob and I have been busy putting up lights and making the windows festive!
Time to get parcels in the mail!
